A long overdue first-ever CD release for the 1975 debut album by Memphis' premier soul harmony group, and the only other act to be signed to Isaac Hayes' short-lived Hot Buttered Soul label beside Ike. 'Everybody Wanna Live On' was the first of two albums cut for Hot Buttered Soul during its two-year existence. The album spawned two R&B chart hits, 'The Traveling Man' and their sensual revival of the Shirelle's 'Baby It's You'. Both these releases were ballad successes at a time when disco was increasingly becoming the major force in black music.
